| Situated in
the premises of Newtonmore Gallery, just off the Main Street, opposite the
Co-op, Newtonmore Local Information Centre provides a tourist information
service in partnership with the VisitScotland, for
the local area of Newtonmore, Dalwhinnie and Laggan and is also more than
willing to assist with information for the wider Badenoch and Strathspey
area, and, indeed, the whole of the Highlands. We're here to help, and
we're happy to do our best to solve any enquiry, no matter how obscure it
may be - just call in and see us, or give us a call on 01540 670157.
One
thing we regret we CANNOT do is to send out leaflets and printed matter to
you - we have absolutely no way of recouping the costs of doing this, and
are not funded by anyone - either local businesses or the tourist board, so please do not ask us to send you details - everything you need
should be on this website, including
downloads of quantities of maps, guides
and information material for you to print out yourself.
We have a wide range of information and
leaflets for collection when you are in the area, plus a broadband public internet access service
and wireless hotspot so you can read your
emails, or surf the web while you're here.
We do not operate an assisted booking
service for accommodation - instead, we have a freephone telephone that
allows you to contact your own choice of accommodation to check
availability - no commission is charged for this service.
