The Newtonmore 10 mile road race is held annually around the 3rd weekend in March. This popular event was resurrected in 2009 after an absence of 10 years and is proving to be a popular weekend event with something for all the family.
The weekend also includes a 2 mile fun run, a ceilidh or dance on the Saturday night and the "Hangover Mile" race on Sunday.
The event also boasts an incredible spot prize list which includes vouchers for accommodation, outdoor activities & attractions and dining at our local hotels and restaurants!
Throughout the year we run a series of races up the beautiful Glen Banchor and back.
This is approximately a 10K route with stunning scenery
Competitors usually include walkers, runners, joggers and horses!
It's worth coming just for the post-race cakes!
The Creag Dhubh hill race is held annually and is a poular event on the Scottish Hill Racing calendar.
The race forms part of the Newtonmore Highland Games which takes place on the first Saturday of every August.
