The Newtonmore 10 mile road race is held annually around the 3rd weekend in March. This popular event was resurrected in 2009 after an absence of 10 years and is proving to be a popular weekend event with something for all the family.
Throughout the year we run a series of races up the beautiful Glen Banchor and back.
This is approximately a 10K route with stunning scenery.
Competitors usually include walkers, runners, joggers and horses!
The Creag Dhubh hill race is held annually and is a poular event on the Scottish Hill Racing calendar.
The race forms part of the Newtonmore Highland Games which takes place on the first Saturday of every August.
"The Highlander - Escape the Redcoats" is a duathlon which starts and finishes at the Highland Folk Museum Newtonmore. Entrants will follow a course consisting of a 39 mile cycle on a combination of rural roads and paved cycle paths. Following the transition at Cluny Castle, entrants will undertake a 6 mile run through Glen Banchor before returning to Cluny and cycling the last 6 miles back to Newtonmore.
