I am a fused glass artist working in the Cairngorms National Park, from which I draw inspiration to make landscapes and birds in glass.
I love the experimental side of working with glass, the intense colours, and the way in which light enhances this medium, hence naming my business Fused and Light.
Anne now has a studio gallery together with fellow Newtonmore artist David Fallows at Chapel House Arts, 100 High Street, Kingussie, PH21 1HY. This is a new purpose built art centre where you can see changing fine art exhibitions, locally produced craft work and take part in glass fusing and other courses. The larger space means Anne can start to use a much broader range of techniques - come and see her recent work using the "crackle" technique using glass powders or small 3D freeze fuse glass pieces. Classes available range from drop in classes suitable for children and adults price £10-£15 to 4h Full Introduction to glass fusing courses price £75.
Open Mon-Sat 10-4.30 in Summer/ exhibition times/ reduced times in winter. Disabled access.
I will also be doing glass fusing drop in sessions in Kingussie - see below for details.
