Glenthorne is a pretty Victorian cottage set in the historic heart of this idyllic village.
It is laid out over 2 stories with three bedrooms & two bathrooms (2 double/1 adult size bunk bead & fold down bed downstairs) so can accommodate up to 8 people. The layout of the cottage is such that it can accommodate a group yet is designed to be just as comfortable for a couple. The cottage is furnished to a high standard. There is also a large garden to the rear.
Nestling in the Cairngorm National Park, the Newtonmore area is a walkers heaven with other outdoor pursuits including fishing on the river Spey, two excellent golf courses, one in Newtonmore and the other adjoining burgh of Kingussie. Other activities in and around the area include skiing, mountain biking, RSPB sites for bird watching, the interactive Highland Folk Museum and Whisky Distilleries or why not take a trip on a romantic steam train or ride the funicular railway to the top of the Cairngorm mountains and remember not to miss your first shinty match. We also have the arrival of the tigers and Mercedes the polar bear at the highland wildlife park.
So whether relaxing in the garden looking up at the mountains or cozying in front of the stove in the winter we are confident you will enjoy your relaxing break in this lovely cottage in this beautiful village.
