Where Stags Roar

camanDianne and Rod Frazer have built a selection of superb self catered properties with you in mind. Plan your ideal getaway in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, where stags roar……

All of our beautiful holiday homes in Newtonmore have cosy wood burning stoves, and are VisitScotland 4 star rated. Each one is individual; from architect designed wooden lodges with romantic roll top baths perfect for couples, to light filled Victorian renovations with original features & high ceilings, or a luxury family home full of style and character overlooking the golf course and with stunning views of Cairngorms beyond. All are within a few minutes walk of good local pubs that serve food, and have fantastic short hikes or munro bagging from the doorstep. Fishing on the River Spey and 18 hole golf also a few minutes walk from your door, whichever stunning Where Stags Roar property you choose.

Keep an eye out for the red squirrels who like to balance on the top of the glass balcony at The Byre if you are quiet, or come to the bird tables at Baltinna East and Baltinna West.

Here in the Cairngorm National Park it’s an ‘outdoorsy' paradise. Be it fishing or kayaking on the world renowned River Spey, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, or just exploring the massive expanse of real wilderness we have to offer. It’s a truly stunning part of the Central Highlands, and we are so proud to call it home. Make the most of these surroundings, it can recharge your soul…

It’s not all wilds of course, Newtonmore and the other pretty nearby villages have selection of cosy coffee shops, local pubs and restaurants. Browse around nearby craft and gift shops, or enjoy a host of visitor attractions in the area, including the Highland Folk Museum right here in the village where parts of Outlander where filmed. Then kick back and relax with a dram by the wood burning stove to plan tomorrow's adventure.

camanOur guests keep coming back again and again, come and visit and you’ll see why. We look forward to welcoming you too, where stags roar…
