You’ll find Strastrathspey Mountain Hostel in a quiet location at the very heart of our delightful village.

To ensure that you enjoy your stay to the full, the building has been refurbished, fully double glazed, re-roofed and rewired, and has comprehensive modern insulation throughout.

The hostel can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 18 guests and our facilities are suitable for both sexes, for families, individuals and groups.

We have been awarded 3 stars in VisitScotland’s Grading Scheme, Category 2 status in their Disabled Access Scheme and the bronze award in their Green Business Tourist Scheme.

Unlike the SYHA, we have no daytime curfew restrictions or rules on drinking in the Hostel.

Strathspey Mountain Hostel is a member of the Scottish Independent Hostels (SIH) Group and the boss, Laurie is a keen active outdoors person.

We are able to offer you excellent local information on the many and varied things that there are to see and to do in this lovely part of the Highlands of Scotland.
