Badenoch Gardening Club

Badenoch_Gardening_ClubThe Badenoch Gardening Club is nearly 30 years old and is the only active gardening club in Badenoch and Strathspey.

Members garden at 300 metres above sea level and in the centre of Scotland, a position that gives challenging conditions throughout the year.

A warm welcome awaits everyone especially those new to the area interested in learning about gardening in the Highlands. Meetings take place on the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of each month in Newtonmore Village Hall (Lesser Hall) starting at 7.30 pm. Our programme includes expert speakers who cover a range of gardening related topics.

Not all meetings have speakers. A popular meeting is the 'Seedling Exchange' in May where members bring excess plants and or cuttings and exchange them for something others have brought. June sees our Annual Outing when we visit private or public gardens and garden centres, leaving time for some lunch and retail therapy! Every August we have a highly successful Flower and Produce Show. This gives us a chance to show off what can be grown in the area!

Meetings are informal, a good place to meet people, to share gardening ideas, learn from experts and finally have a chat and a cup of tea!

Annual membership -£10.00. Meetings are free for members, just £2.50 for visitors, who are most welcome.
