Newtonmore, with around 1,000 souls, has some of the best winter lights in the country.  

They are lit in early December and continue to shine through the dark months until March.

The lights stretch along the whole length of the village and combine two different designs - a beautiful gold star spray and blue diamond drops.  The latter design was used on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh two Christmases ago! 

There are two beautifully decorated Christmas trees in the village over the festive season.

The Winter Lights are funded by the community.  Their maintenance, storage and the work of putting them up and taking them down is covered by income from the Winter Lights 100 Club.  If you would like to become one of the One Hundred,  please contact the website.
