Superb self catering
for up to sixteen people at Crubenmore, between Newtonmore and
Dalwhinnie. Set amidst stunning scenery at the gateway to the Highlands
of Scotland and Cairngorms National Park, Crubenmore Lodge has featured
as a location in the BBC TV series 'Monarch of the Glen'.
Set within its own
grounds close to the road, this superb Edwardian building has many
original features and is a superb base for a touring holiday. The
building has seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, two kitchens, a large
lounge with satellite TV and a large dining room. It is decorated
throughout in keeping with its Edwardian Scottish Hunting Lodge heritage
and is a welcoming, fun establishment. There is also a games room with
full size pool table.
Newtonmore's shops
and facilities are close at hand, some three miles north of Crubenmore,
yet visitors can feel completely relaxed and get a true sense of that
'away from it all' feeling.
At the southern end
of the new Cairngorms National Park, and in the heart of the area
used in filming BBC TV's Monarch of the Glen - the house itself has
appeared in some scenes - Crubenmore is within easy reach of a host of
activities from climbing and walking, to watersports, winter sports,
birdwatching, angling, shooting and touring - including the famous
Speyside Whisky Trail and nearby Dalwhinnie Distillery.
