The Badenoch Angling Association manages and stocks a long section of the River Spey from (and including) The Spey Dam above Laggan, right down to the mouth of the River Tromie, below Kingussie, together with fishings on Lochs Laggan and Ericht.

The River, and the Spey Dam are stocked with quality brown trout.

Permits available at Newtonmore Craft Centre and Gallery, The Filling Station and the Spey Bridge Caravan Site

Fishing for Trout and Salmon on the River Spey. Occasional escapee Rainbow Trout are also found, along with some Sea Trout in wetter years.
